...Brief Period of Gusty Winds Early this Evening...

Northwest winds have increased over the region and gusts have been
reaching 40 to near 45 mph at times late this afternoon. The winds
will remain breezy through about 7 PM, then diminish after sunset.
Though widespread impacts are not expected, north south travel
along interstates and highways may be challenging with some of the
stronger gusts. High profile vehicles should use caution for the
next couple of hours while traveling through this region of Iowa.
