...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 745 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of south central Alabama, including the
  following counties, Butler and Crenshaw.

* WHEN...Until 745 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 432 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms
    producing heavy rainfall across locations from north of
    Mckenzie to north of Luverne. Minor flooding is ongoing or
    expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and
    4 inches of rain have fallen across some locations this
    afternoon.
  - Some locations that may experience flooding include...
    Luverne, Georgiana, McKenzie, Rutledge, Pigeon Creek,
    Glasgow, Moodys Crossroads, Oaky Streak, Robinson Crossroads,
    Ivy Creek, Industry, Centenary, Brushy Creek, Cherokee
    Village, Shell, East Chapman, Avant, Chapman, Vernledge and
    Live Oak.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
