  Sandy Hook NJ to Montauk Point out 40 NM...
  Central Long Island Sound...
  Peconic and Gardiners Bays...
  Long Island South Shore Bays...

At 815 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable
of producing winds to around 30 knots, small hail, and lightning.
These thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near
Long Neck Point to near Oyster Bay Harbor to near Entrance to New
York Harbor, moving east at 45 knots.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until these storms pass.
