...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM CDT THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of southwest Missouri, including the following
  counties, Jasper and Newton.

* WHEN...Until 1000 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 658 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of
    rain have fallen.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Joplin, Neosho, Webb City, Seneca, Duquesne, Duenweg,
    Leawood, Silver Creek, Shoal Creek Drive, Saginaw, Loma
    Linda, Airport Drive, Redings Mill, Grand Falls Plaza, Shoal
    Creek Estates, Dennis Acres, Cliff Village, Racine, Iron
    Gates and Oakland Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Many flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
