...Data for Pine Bluff for April 2018...

.Summary...
April marked a significant change in temperature trends at Pine Bluff.
After a few warmer than average months in the late winter and
early spring, April ended a little over five degrees below the 30-year
average. Both high and low temperatures (which included several late-
season freezes) were significantly cooler than we would normally see
in April.

Rainfall was well above average, and it was the wettest April in six
years.

For the first time in 35 years, snow fell during April, though it
was not measurable.

.Monthly Temperatures...
The average high temperature was the coldest since 1993, and the 3rd
coldest on record. The average low temperature was the coldest since
1984 and the 5th coldest on record. The average monthly temperature was
the coldest since 1983, and the 3rd coldest on record.

.Daily Temperatures...
Daily temperatures were above average on five days, average on three
days, and below average on 22 days.

There were two days with low temperatures at or below freezing during
the month, which tied 1891, 1924, and 1975 for the most on record for
the month of April.

There were six days with high temperatures at or above 80 degrees,
which was the fewest in the month since 2007.

The freeze on April 8th was the latest freeze at Pine Bluff since
2007.

For the first time since 1983, snowfall was recorded during the month
of April. This made April 2018 the 2nd snowiest on record, tying 1983,
1971, 1936, and 1928. The only recorded instance of measurable snowfall
at Pine Bluff (since records began in 1883) was on April 5, 1886 when
2.5 inches fell.
