National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
455 AM CDT Thu Apr 19 2018

.DISCUSSION...

Temperatures will be near normal today and will generally be near or
below normal for the next 5 days. Winds of 20+ mph will be widespread
across the area today with higher winds in the Guadalupe Mountains.
Areas of 15 percent or less minimum relative humidity and RFTI values
of 3 will be present across portions of the area. These conditions
will create elevated to near critical fire weather for today. Low RH
values will be present across far western areas Friday along with 20+
mph winds widespread across the area. RFTI values of up to 7 will be
present across far western areas so near critical fire weather will
be possible. Dry and windy conditions will continue for portions of
the area for Saturday.
