24 hour basin average rainfall ending 7:00 AM today was highly
variable, ranging from less than 0.50 inches in parts of the Holston
River basin up to over 4 inches in parts of the upper New, Dan and Watauga
river basins. Forecast rainfall ending 7:00 AM tomorrow ranges about
0.50 to 1 inch. Area river stages wil be rising  over the next three days
with possible flooding on the lower Dan River.
