Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service State College PA
510 PM EDT Wed May 8 2024

After a warm and sunny day, skies will cloud up again starting
tonight as a wave of low pressure moves along a front stalled out
near the Mason- Dixon Line. Rain showers will hold off until
later tonight, moving in from the southwest. The rain should
spread eastward Thursday morning.

Expect widespread rain showers and a few thunderstorms to occur
in a couple of waves on Thursday and into Friday. Some heavier
rain is possible in any storms, mainly south of the turnpike.

Low temperatures tonight will be in the mid 40s across the
northern tier, and close to 60 in the far south. Highs on
Thursday will be noticeably cooler thanks to the clouds and rain,
ranging from only the mid 50s in the far northwest to the upper
60s in the southeast and southwest corners of the Commonwealth.
