AKZ155-132000- /O.CON.PAFC.FA.Y.0007.000000T0000Z-240513T2000Z/ /00000.N.IJ.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.OO/ Kuskokwim Delta AK- 1021 PM AKDT Wed May 8 2024 ...FLOOD ADVISORY FOR AN ICE JAM REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON AKDT MONDAY... * WHAT...Flooding caused by an ice jam continues. * WHERE...The following area, Kuskokwim River, Browns Slough, Oscarville, Napaskiak, and other small streams near Bethel. * WHEN...Until noon AKDT Monday. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Tidal impacts may raise river levels further and intensify flooding in the areas around Bethel. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1016 PM AKDT, minor flooding was reported near the Kuskokwim River near Browns Slough, Oscarville, and near Napaskiak. The River Watch Team reported releases from upstream ice jams were causing the Kuskokwim River to rise quickly and additional flooding may be intensified through tonight as high tide impacts river levels. - For Kuskokwim River at Bethel: At 10:16 pm the stage was 9.91 feet.
