Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
355 PM MDT Fri May 31 2024

.Discussion...

Chances for afternoon showers and thunderstorms will continue for
across the district this evening and again tomorrow afternoon and
evening, with the best coverage across the southeast Plains, where
strong to severe storms will be possible. By Sunday, a trend towards
above normal temperatures and dry conditions looks to set in. Sunday
will be breezy for many locations, with spotty critical fire weather
possible over portions of the San Juans and La Garitas. Though hot
and dry conditions look to stick around into the middle of next week,
winds look to weaken below critical thresholds.

Afternoon smoke dispersions will be very good or better tomorrow
and again on Sunday.

--- thunderstorms imply strong gusty and erratic winds ---
