The 12z morning sounding at KEY continued to sample a well-mixed
layer from the surface up to around 925 mb, capped by a series of
temperature inversions in the 925-725 mb layer. Skies are
generally partly cloudy across the island chain, with occasional
bouts of stratocumulus clouds pushing through in the mean low-
level easterlies. Nil rain chances are advertised for this
afternoon, with temperatures creeping up into the lower 80s at
most communities, right around normal for this time of year. No
changes proposed or updates made to the inherited forecast.

There are currently no watches, warnings, or advisories for the
Florida Keys coastal waters. From synopsis, gentle to moderate
northeast to east breezes will continue this afternoon across the
Florida Keys coastal waters. High pressure east of the Florida
Peninsula will continue to slide into the west- central North
Atlantic, then remain in place through the middle of the week.
This will result in easterly moderate to modestly fresh breezes. A
secondary high pressure moving in from the Central Plains will
gradually blanket the Gulf of Mexico, with slackened east to
southeast breezes expected for the end of the week.

VFR and dry conditions will prevail at both island terminals through
the TAF period. Going into the afternoon, near surface east will
pick up, with gustier conditions of near 20 knots, which will
continue through tonight.
