...The National Weather Service in Pocatello has issued a Flood
Advisory for the following rivers in Idaho...

  Portneuf River at Topaz affecting Bannock County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you encounter a flooded roadway, turn around and find an
alternative route.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks, as flows may be fast
and the water is dangerously cold. Be especially careful to keep
children away from the water.

...FLOOD ADVISORY FOR SNOWMELT IN EFFECT FROM THIS AFTERNOON UNTIL
FURTHER NOTICE...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by snowmelt is expected.

* WHERE...The Portneuf River at Topaz.

* WHEN...From this afternoon until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 4.0 feet, Lowland and crop field flooding is possible
  from Pebble Creek to Inkom.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 11:15 AM Thursday the stage was 3.5 feet.
  - Forecast...Due to strongly warming temperatures over the next
    several days accelerating snowmelt, the river is expected to
    rise to a crest of 4.0 feet by Sunday afternoon.
  - Action stage is 3.5 feet.
  - Flood stage is 4.0 feet.
