...A Flood Warning continues for portions of the following waterways
in Indiana...

  Driftwood River...East Fork White River...Eel River...Flatrock
  River...Wabash River...White River...


.With rivers already elevated and ground remaining saturated
forecast rainfall will extend flooding or create new flooding across
a large portion of western and southern Indiana.


Precautionary/Preparedness Actions...

Motorists should never drive into flood water. Turn around and go
another way. Keep children away from flooded areas. Recreational and
agricultural interests should remain alert to changing river
conditions.

The Flood Warning continues for
  The Driftwood River near Edinburgh 2 SW.
* from Friday afternoon to late Sunday night.
* At 10:30 AM Wednesday the stage was 5.9 feet.
* Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by Friday afternoon and continue
  to rise to near 13.1 feet by Friday evening.  It will fall below
  flood stage by Sunday afternoon.
* At 13.2 feet...Lowland flooding in progress along Driftwood River in
  northern Bartholomew County on April 6, 2011. Double Y Saddle Club
  area flooded.  At least 6 inches of water flowing over CR 950N to
  Club. Water is less than one foot away from CR 330W just south of
  its intersection with Ohio Ridge Rd. CR 500N west of CR 250W is
  flooded blocking vehicular access to residences near the river
  bank. Lowell Public Access site is open but ramp is totally
  flooded. Water close to one residence at Shelby CR 1000S and CR
  900W.

  The East Fork White River at Columbus.
* from Friday evening to Sunday morning.
* At 10:00 AM Wednesday the stage was 2.4 feet.
* Flood stage is 9.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by Friday evening and continue to
  rise to near 9.7 feet by Saturday morning.  It will fall below
  flood stage by Saturday evening.
* At 10.0 feet...Every Bartholomew county road that approaches or
  crosses the East Fork White River including Southern Crossing is
  affected by flood waters. County Road 800 S is extensively flooded
  in southern Bartholomew County. Mill Race Park in Columbus is
  extensively flooded. Flood waters on SR 11 in the southbound lane
  about 1 mile north of CR 800 S.

* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by Friday morning and continue to
  rise to near 14.6 feet by Sunday morning.
* At 15.0 feet...Lowland agricultural flooding in progress.  County
  road 725 N (near Rockford) floods.  Indiana 258 east of Cortland
  may flood.  On December 8 2014...about an inch of water flowed over
  Reddington Street near the East Fork White River Bridge as the
  river crested.

* from Sunday afternoon to Saturday April 27.
* At 10:30 AM Wednesday the stage was 14.3 feet.
* Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by Sunday afternoon and continue
  to rise to near 23.9 feet by Tuesday evening.  It will fall below
  flood stage by Friday April 26.
* At 25.0 feet...During the late March 2008 flood, the Bedford Times
  reported the following County Roads still under water; River Road,
  entire Road; Bartlettsville Road, by the bridge and in the bottoms;
  Judah-Logan Road, by the bridge; Logan Bottoms, the gravel part;
  Donica Church Road, between Logan Bottom and the hill; Peerless
  Road, by Mica Metals; Little Salt Creek Run; Stumphole Bridge Road,
  near Indiana State Road 450; Huron-Williams Road; Lawrenceport
  Road; Rivervale Road and Earl Road.

* There have been no observations in the last 24 hours.
* Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...It is forecast to rise above flood stage Monday evening,
  crest at 21.4 feet Wednesday April 24, and then fall below flood
  stage by Friday April 26.
* At 21.2 feet...At this level during December 2013 backwater reached
  the tailwater of Lake Monroe as Salt Creek stopped falling.  The
  crest of the river followed 2 days later and reached 27.6 feet at
  Bedford and caused Salt Creek to rise nearly 6 feet at the
  tailwater of Monroe Lake.

  area.  Flooding begins in residential areas along East 116th Street
  in the Trails End area, along East 146th Street, and SR 19 just
  north of SR 32.

* At 17.5 feet...Lowest portions of Trails 1 and 7 flood in McCormicks
  Creek State Park.  Extensive backwater in Rattlesnake, Fall,
  McCormicks, Limestone, Big, and Bean Blossom Creeks with overflow
  flooding crops or hay.

* Forecast...It will rise to near 19.8 feet by Monday evening then
  begin falling. It will fall below flood stage Friday April 26.
* At 20.0 feet...Water is at Critical levels for makeshift levees.
  Most of bottomlands flood.  Old Vincennes road and State Road 358
  between Plainville and Edwardsport are impassable by several feet.
  High water surrounds river cabins.  This type of flood occurs on
  average about once a year.

* At 21.3 feet...State Road 257 south of Washington began to flood
  during May 2008 after local rains of more than an inch on very wet
  soils with Petersburg at 21.3 feet and rising and Shoals at 15.5
  feet and rising.

* Forecast...It will rise to near 20.2 feet by late Sunday night then
  begin falling. It will fall below flood stage Friday April 26.
* At 20.5 feet...Residential property of about 50 river cabins begin
  to flood.  North Lake and Izaak Walton Areas near West Terre Haute
  begin to flood.  Flooding closes more county roads.  Lowland
  agricultural flooding is in progress.

* At 20.0 feet...Leaverton Park in Palestine and park in Hutsonville
  begin to flood.  Agricultural flooding spreads to higher land.
  Seep water is noticeable behind levees.  Some elevated river
  cottages are surrounded by water.  Several county or township roads
  east of Lincoln Heritage Trail between Palestine and Hutsonville in
  Crawford County Illinois are impassable.

* Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by late Thursday night and
  continue to rise to near 17.4 feet by late Friday night.
* At 17.0 feet...Considerable agricultural flooding extends from just
  north of the junction of Illinois 33 with Business 50 to the St.
  Francesville, Illinois area.  River Road from Lincoln Memorial
  Bridge to Billett Rd is impassable.  Extensive seep water forms
  behind Illinois levees extending from Russellville to U.S. Highway
  50.  Flooding of agricultural land begins in Knox County Indiana
  west of the railroad extending for the Oaktown area to the north
  side of Vincennes.  Extensive flooding of Small Creek.
