...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM CDT THIS MORNING
FOR MCDONALD COUNTY...

At 426 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated that the heavy rain the
occurred earlier this morning has ended across the warned area.
Between 1.5 and 3.5 inches of rain has fallen. Even though the heavy
rain has ended, run off from the early heavy rainfall will continue
early this morning. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
         drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Pineville, Anderson, Noel, Goodman, South West City, Lanagan,
  Dodge, Cayuga, Powell, Tiff City and Big Sugar Creek State Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Many flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
