EARLY EVENING FOR THE EAST CENTRAL AND NORTHEAST PLAINS DUE TO
STRONG WINDS, LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY AND AN UNSTABLE AIRMASS...
.Critical to extreme fire weather conditions expected Monday as a
low pressure system tracks eastward along the Colorado and New
Mexico border steering the jetstream over southern and eastern
New Mexico. West and southwest winds gusting 40 to 55 mph are
expected with humidities mostly in the single digits and high
Haines. These are considerably dangerous fire weather conditions
capable of rapid fire spread Monday afternoon and early evening.
Critical fire weather conditions will return to portions of
northeastern and east-central NM Tuesday.

...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM TO 8 PM MDT TUESDAY...
The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a Red Flag
Warning...which is in effect from 11 AM to 8 PM MDT Tuesday. The
Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect.
* AREA AND TIMING...Central Highlands (Zone 125), Northeast and
East Central Plains (Zones 104 and 126) Monday from 10 AM until
9 PM MDT and Tuesday 11 AM until 8 PM MDT.
* 20 FOOT WINDS...On Monday, west and southwest 20 to 35 mph with
gusts up to 55 mph. On Tuesday, northwest winds 25 to 35 mph
with gusts of 55 mph.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...On Monday, between 7 and 12 percent with
over 5 hours of single digit relative humidity. On Tuesday,
between 10 to 15 percent.
* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly
and will be hard to control. Long range spotting and extreme
fire behavior will be possible. Outdoor burning should not be
done.

* AREA AND TIMING...Middle Rio Grande Valley (Zone 106),
Northeast Highlands (Zone 123) and the Sandia and Manzano
Mountains (Zone 124) Monday from 10 AM until 9 PM MDT.
* 20 FOOT WINDS...West and southwest 20 to 35 mph with gusts up
to 55 mph. The strongest gusts are expected east of the
central mountain chain.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...Bottoming out between 7 and 12 percent.
* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly
and will be hard to control. Long range spotting and extreme
fire behavior will be possible. Outdoor burning should not be
done.
