...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN PICKENS AND LAMAR
COUNTIES THROUGH 100 AM CDT...

At 1216 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Steens, or near Columbus, moving northeast at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Vernon, Sulligent, Millport, Kennedy, Ethelsville, Blooming Grove,
Lamar County Airport, Bedford, Ashcraft Corner, Crossville, Cody,
Lamar County Public Lake, Shaw, Star, Hightogy, Forest, Macedonia,
and Melborne.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
