...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 545 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of east central Georgia, including the following
  counties, Columbia and Richmond and central South Carolina,
  including the following counties, Aiken and Edgefield.

* WHEN...Until 545 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is
  imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 338 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream
    flooding. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    North Augusta, Grovetown, Evans, Martinez, Augusta,
    Belvedere, Fort Eisenhower, Clearwater, Augusta National Golf
    Club, Daniel Field, Summerville, Village Plaza Shopping
    Center, Midtown, Augusta Mall, Glendale, South Augusta,
    Burnettown, Waverly, Westwick and Westover Memorial Park.
  - This includes the following highways...
    Interstate 520 in South Carolina between mile markers 16 and
    23.
    Interstate 20 in South Carolina between mile markers 0 and 7.
    Interstate 20 in Georgia between mile markers 189 and 201.
    Interstate 520 in Georgia between mile markers 1 and 15.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Most flooding deaths occur in vehicles. Never drive through a
flooded roadway or around barricades. Turn around, don`t drown.
