Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service State College PA
1118 AM EDT Fri Mar 22 2024

High pressure will drift northeast this afternoon. Sunny skies
will allow a warm up to seasonably mild temperatures in most
places. High temperatures this afternoon will range from the 30s
across the north and 40s to near 50F across the southern half of
the state.

Clouds will thicken-up through the day, with rain beginning over
the western mountains of the state late this afternoon and
evening. The rain will overspread the rest of the region tonight
and continue through Saturday morning. The rain will be mixed
with wet snow or sleet at times across the northern mountains
late today and early tonight, and likely end in this same region
as a brief 1 to 2 hour period of snow during the midday hours
Saturday. Any snow accumulation should be less than one inch and
occur mainly on colder, grassy areas.

The rain and wet snow will taper off across the far east by
later Saturday. High pressure building south into the state from
Ontario Canada will bring clearing skies and dry conditions for
Sunday into Tuesday.
