Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 711 AM HST, radar indicated that showers were diminishing over most of Oahu, with an isolated area of heavier showers likely to affect the area near Makapuu over the next hour or so. Additional showers may move over Oahu from the south through the morning. - Some locations that could experience flooding during the morning rush hour include... Honolulu, Hawaii Kai, Waipio, Moanalua, Kalihi, Salt Lake, Halawa, Aiea, Pearl City, Manoa, Kaneohe, Maunawili, Waipahu, Kapolei, Waimanalo, and Kailua. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas prone to flooding. Rainfall and runoff will also cause hazardous driving conditions due to ponding, reduced visibility and poor braking action. && This advisory may need to be extended beyond 800 AM HST if flooding persists.
