Generalized Statewide Coastal Waters Forecast for Hawaii

.Synopsis for Hawaiian coastal waters...
A strong upper disturbance approaching from the north will keep
the threat of thunderstorms in the forecast into Saturday. A
surface trough near Kauai will shift southeast today and hold over
the central waters through Sunday. The trough will weaken and
dissipate early next week as high pressure builds in from the
northeast.

.TODAY...East southeast winds 10 to 15 knots. Seas 3 to 5 feet.
Wave Detail: East 4 feet at 7 seconds and north northwest 4 feet
at 10 seconds. Scattered showers with a chance of thunderstorms.
.TONIGHT...East southeast winds 10 to 15 knots. Seas 4 to 6 feet.
Wave Detail: North northwest 4 feet at 9 seconds and east 3 feet
at 7 seconds. Scattered showers with a chance of thunderstorms.
