Weather conditions have been virtually the same each day along the
Florida Keys, and today is no exception. Temperatures are in the
upper 70s with dew points in the mid to upper 60s. This drier air
was reflected in our 12Z sounding this morning when it showed a
precipitable water value of 0.96" due to very dry mid-levels in
the atmosphere. While the relative humidity in the lower
atmosphere was 52", the mid-level had a value of only 8%.

High pressure will lead these conditions to prevail, and this is
reflected in the current forecast package. Therefore, no changes
or updates are needed at this time.

.MARINE...

High pressure will remain over the western North Atlantic through
early next week. As a result, gentle to moderate easterly breezes
prevail through the rest of the week, then veer eat to
southeasterly through the weekend as a ridge axis moves southward
into South Florida. Starting next week breezes veer south to
southwesterly as a weak front stalls across the northern Gulf of
Mexico and north-central Florida.

VFR and dry conditions will prevail at both island terminals through
the TAF period. East to southeast surface winds near 10 knots will
occasionally gusts to 17 to 20 knots.

In 2013, the daily low temperature of 60F was recorded in Key West.
April temperature records for Key West date back to 1872.
