.Discussion...A weak cold front will continue to push southward
across the area this morning into early this afternoon. Scattered
showers and isolated storms will still develop ahead of this
front, mainly south of a line from Melbourne to Lake Kissimmee.
A few stronger storms may be possible, mainly across the
southern Treasure Coast from mid morning through early afternoon.
Strong wind gusts to 40 to 50 mph, small hail, and lightning
strikes will be the main threats from any storms, but an isolated
threat will also exist for locally damaging winds to 60 mph and
hail up to 1 inch in diameter. Winds will become north-northwest
today behind the front and will be breezy along the coast toward
mid to late afternoon. Min RH values will be greater than 55
percent along the coast and as low as the low to mid 40s across
the interior this afternoon. Afternoon smoke dispersion will be
Very Good to Excellent today.
Behind the front, a dry air mass is forecast to settle across the
Florida peninsula once again, with minimum RH values falling back
into the mid to upper 30s across the interior west of I-95 on
Tuesday, and as low as the upper 20s to mid 30s Wednesday and
Thursday. Winds will become onshore Tuesday and beyond with wind
speeds each afternoon 10 to 15 mph.
Fog potential and other remarks...Fog is not forecast.
Localized visibility reductions due to smoke from new or existing
fires will be possible even if fog is not forecast.
