Surf Zone Forecast
National Weather Service Tallahassee FL
459 AM EDT Thu Apr 11 2024

.THE SURF ZONE FORECAST GENERAL OUTLOOK...

Southerly gales across the northeast Gulf last night has left a very
churned-up ocean. Dangerous high surf is occurring and will continue
until tonight, and a turn to strong west breezes this afternoon will
delay improvement along Bay and Gulf County beaches. Even as the
weather improves on Friday and Saturday, it will take time for the
Gulf waters to settle down. By Sunday, we will finally drop to a
moderate risk of rip currents. A turn to southeast wind on Monday will
favor Franklin County beaches for an increase to high risk on Monday.
