...ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS EXPECTED THIS AFTERNOON AND
EVENING ACROSS THE WESTERN TEXAS PANHANDLE...

* Affected Area...The west central Texas Panhandle, generally from
  line from central Sherman County south to Amarillo and Canyon.

* 20 Foot Winds...South and southwest 15 to 25 MPH with higher
  gusts.

* Relative Humidity...Most areas should see values as low as 15
  percent, with extreme western parts of the counties highlighted
  being as low as 10 percent.

* Timing...Between 3 PM and 8 PM CDT today.

Outdoor burning and activities that cause open sparks or flames
are discouraged. Fire and emergency officials should be aware that
weather conditions will be favorable for the development of
large grass fires.
