Daily River and Lake Summary
National Weather Service Boston/Norton MA
1229 PM EDT Thu Apr 19 2018

A widespread chilly rain, mixed with sleet and wet snow, blanketed
the region this morning. Scattered rain showers will persist this
afternoon. Then for tonight, scattered light snow and rain will
wrap around the region behind a storm system exiting northeast.

Drier air moves in on Friday on breezy northwest winds blowing 15
to 25 mph. Skies will be partly to mostly sunny, although a a few
pop up showers are possible. Temperatures will continue to be
cooler than average for this time of year.

High pressure will build over Southern New England this weekend,
resulting in dry weather and near seasonable temperatures.

Rainfall amounts from today`s rains should average 0.25 to 0.50
inch. Area main stem river levels will show only minor
fluctuations or remain nearly stationary over the next 24 to 48
hours.

These forecasts include 24 hour precipitation for the period ending
at 7 am today, and forecast precipitation through 7 am tomorrow.
