...A SPECIAL MARINE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 400 PM CDT...

For the following areas...
Coastal waters from Freeport to Matagorda Ship Channel TX out 20
NM...
Matagorda Bay...

At 314 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts
were located along a line extending from 28 nm north of East
Matagorda Bay to near Tabs Buoy W, moving northeast at 35 knots.

HAZARD...Waterspouts and brief wind gusts 34 knots or greater.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
         hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly
         higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

Locations impacted include...
Brazos 490, Matagorda Island 557, Tabs Buoy W, Matagorda Ship
Channel, Matagorda Jetty, and southwestern East Matagorda Bay.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes.

Thunderstorms can produce sudden waterspouts. Waterspouts can easily
overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Seek safe harbor
immediately.
