Conasauga River at Tilton affecting Murray, Gordon and Whitfield
Counties.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL LATE SATURDAY MORNING...
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring.
* WHERE...Conasauga River at Tilton.
* WHEN...Until late Saturday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 18 feet, Flood stage is reached. Minor flooding
begins in the woodlands, fields and pastures along the river
upstream and downstream from the gage on the Brackett Ridge Road
bridge.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:00 PM EDT Friday the stage was 18.8 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
late tonight and continue falling to 4 feet Wednesday
evening.
- Flood stage is 18 feet.
