...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN JACKSON AND
SOUTHEASTERN FRANKLIN COUNTIES THROUGH 530 AM CDT...

At 444 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Cowan, or 9 miles southeast of Winchester, moving east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 40-50 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Winchester, Bridgeport, Cowan, Sewanee, Anderson, Russell Cave
National Monument, Long Island, and Sherwood.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 AM CDT for northeastern
Alabama...and Middle Tennessee.
