...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN CHERRY...
SOUTHWESTERN BROWN...NORTHWESTERN BLAINE AND NORTHEASTERN THOMAS
COUNTIES THROUGH 515 PM CDT...

At 435 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Halsey, or 17 miles east of Thedford, moving north at 25 mph. Brief
landspout tornadoes are possible.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Halsey, Elsmere, Purdum, Willow Lake State Wildlife Management Area,
and Koshopah.

This includes Highway 2 between mile markers 224 and 234.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 700 PM CDT for north central
Nebraska.
