459 FZUS61 KBUF 150833 GLFLO Open Lake Forecast for Lake Ontario National Weather Service Buffalo NY 433 AM EDT Wed May 15 2024 For waters beyond five nautical miles of shore on Lake Ontario Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS...A 30.2 inch area of high pressure centered over Hudson Bay will push a weak frontal boundary south and east of the Lake this morning, where it will once again become stalled out through tonight. The area of high pressure will cross Quebec Thursday and Thursday night while briefly ridging south across the Lake, before drifting across the Canadian Maritimes on Friday. An upper level disturbance will cross the Lake Friday night and early Saturday. A large disorganized storm system over the Upper Ohio Valley Saturday night will pass well to the south of the Lake on Sunday.
