...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 545 PM CDT THIS
AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of northeast Illinois, including the following
  county, Cook.

* WHEN...Until 545 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
  Underpasses may be flooded. Roads and streets may be flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 316 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated ongoing showers across
    the area, with a trend toward diminishing rainfall rates. Up
    to 1.5 inches of rain have fallen so far. A few public
    reports have been received of standing water on area
    roadways.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in
    isolated areas due to ongoing light rain.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Englewood, Grand Crossing, Hyde Park, South Shore, Chatham,
    Avalon Park, South Chicago, Auburn Gresham community areas of
    Chicago. Evergreen Park, Hometown, Oak Lawn, Chicago Ridge.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flood Advisory means minor flooding along waterways and other poor
drainage areas is imminent or may already be occurring. Persons in
the advisory area should use caution and avoid flood waters.
