Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southwest and South-Central
Arizona and Southeast California
National Weather Service Phoenix AZ
206 PM MST Wed Apr 24 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Strong winds develop late this afternoon and continue through
much of the night over southeast California. Breezy to windy
conditions can be expected across the forecast area Thursday. This
will be followed by strengthening Friday with the strongest winds
being over southeast California and higher terrain portions of
southern Gila and far northeast Maricopa Counties. MinRH values
are expected to be high enough to prevent critical atmospheric
thresholds from being reached. Much cooler temperatures arrive
Thursday with little change Friday. Precipitation chances will
tend to be slight and be limited to portions of La Paz County and
Maricopa Counties early Thursday with the next opportunity Friday
night and Saturday morning over portions of south-central Arizona.

Note...Additional Fire Weather Forecast information can be found
