...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 2 PM WEDNESDAY TO 11 AM
PDT THURSDAY FOR THE TAHOE BASIN ABOVE 7000 FEET...

* WHAT...Snow for the Tahoe Basin above 7000 feet. Snow
  accumulations 4 to 8 inches, locally up to 12 inches along the
  Sierra crest. Winds gusting as high as 80 mph along ridgelines.

* WHERE...Greater Lake Tahoe Area.

* WHEN...From 2 PM Wednesday to 11 AM PDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult due to slick roads and
  reduced visibilities. The hazardous conditions could impact the
  Wednesday evening and Thursday morning commutes. Strong winds
  could cause damage to trees and power lines, and impact recreation.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Slow down and use caution while traveling. The latest road

PDT THURSDAY FOR MONO COUNTY ABOVE 7000 FEET...

* WHAT...Snow for Mono County above 7000 feet. Snow accumulations 1
  to 3 inches below 9000 feet, with 3 to 6 inches above 9000 feet.
  Locally higher amounts of up to 9 inches possible along the Sierra
  crest generally north of Sonora Pass. Winds gusting as high as 70
  mph along ridgelines.

* WHERE...Mono County.

* WHEN...From 5 PM Wednesday to 11 AM PDT Thursday.
