Fire Weather Planning Forecast for New Mexico and Far West Texas
National Weather Service El Paso TX/Santa Teresa NM
Issued by National Weather Service ALBUQUERQUE NM
255 PM MDT Wed Apr 25 2018

.DISCUSSION...
Some afternoon cumulus over the higher terrain otherwise
generally quiet weather until Thursday afternoon when a cold front
approaches from east central New Mexico. Temperatures should be
warmer Thursday with drier humidities except for the Gila region
where humdities will see little change. A few dry showers or an
isolated short lived storm may develop over the higher terrain.
Gusty northeast to east winds are expected Thursday night
spreading from east to west over the forecast area. Wetting
showers and storms will become more numerous and widespread by
Saturday. A drying trend from west to east with afternoon breezes
on tap for Sunday. At least localized critical fire weather
conditions return next Monday as winds strengthen and low level
moisture decreases due to an approaching upper level trough.
