This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Nebraska and
portions of north central Kansas.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.

A few thunderstorms are possible across portions of the local
area this evening. While some small hail is possible...severe
weather is not likely with any thunderstorms that do develop.

In addition...very strong northwest winds will develop this
evening behind an approaching cold front...with a high wind
warning in effect for wind gusts as high as 60 mph. This warning
is in effect for areas generally along and southwest of a line
extending from Arapahoe, Nebraska to Osborne, Kansas. Please see
the latest high wind warning message for additional information.

Up to an inch of snow is possible late tonight to the north of
Highway 92 in central Nebraska.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

During the day Wednesday, most of the outlook area will have
strong northwest winds, sustained at 25 to 35 MPH, and gusting up
to around 45 MPH. These strong winds, in tandem with low relative
humidity values between 20 and 25 percent, will promote near-
critical fire weather conditions, mainly across north central
Kansas and the Furnas County Nebraska area.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Any reports of strong winds over 50 MPH or small hail would be
appreciated tonight.
