This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Nebraska and
portions of north central Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

A Red Flag Warning has been issued for critical fire weather
conditions that are expected this afternoon into early evening
for areas mainly southeast of a line from Mankato to Stockton
Kansas. Relative humidity values could drop to near 15 percent
and southwest winds may gust 25 to 30 mph at times. Please refer
to the Red Flag Warning for additional information.

Further north, near critical fire danger could extend into
portions of south central Nebraska, mainly along and south of
Highway 6.

There is a slight chance for a few isolated thunderstorms this
afternoon into early evening mainly across north central Kansas.
Severe weather is not expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

A strong upper level storm system will move across the entire
outlook area late Monday and Tuesday. At this time, there appears
to be at least a slight risk of strong to severe thunderstorms for
much of the area, mainly Monday evening into Monday night. The
primary severe weather threats will be large hail and damaging
winds.

In addition to any thunderstorm threat, this next low pressure
system will likely produce strong winds of at least 30 mph with
gusts to around 45 mph area wide Monday through Wednesday.
Winds will initially be out of the south southeast Monday
afternoon into Monday night, and then shift to out of the west
northwest Tuesday and Wednesday.

Near critical to critical fire danger is expected Monday
afternoon, mainly west of a Lexington, Alma, Stockton Kansas
line.
