...RED FLAG WARNING TODAY UNTIL 9 PM AREAWIDE BELOW SNOWPACK DUE
TO STRONG WINDS, VERY LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY, AND AN UNSTABLE
ATMOSPHERE...

...RED FLAG WARNING WEDNESDAY FROM 11 AM UNTIL 8 PM IN EASTERN NM
DUE TO STRONG WINDS, VERY LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY, AND AN UNSTABLE
ATMOSPHERE...

.A dangerous and critical fire weather pattern will unfold today
as strong to severe winds, warmer temperatures, very low humidity
and unstable conditions combine. All of northern and central New
Mexico is expected to observe these critical conditions today,
but the strongest winds will be focused over and near the Sangre
de Cristo mountains. The lowest humidity will be found in central
to eastern areas of the state where readings of less than
10 percent will persist for several hours.

Critical conditions are forecast to redevelop tomorrow afternoon
east of the central mountain chain. The lowest humidity and
strongest winds will focus over the Northeast Highlands and
Northeast Plains.

...FIRE WEATHER WATCH IS CANCELLED...

The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has cancelled the
Fire Weather Watch.

* AREA AND TIMING...Sangre de Cristo Mountains (Zone 122) and the
  Sandia and Manzano Mountains (Zone 124) until 9PM this evening.

* 20 FOOT WINDS...West 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph,
  except around 65 mph in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains.


* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...Minimum values between 8 and 12 percent.


* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
  Outdoor burning is not recommended.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Please advise the appropriate officials or fire crews in the
field of this Red Flag Warning.

The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a Red Flag
Warning...which is in effect from 11 AM to 8 PM MDT Wednesday.
The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect.

* AREA AND TIMING...Northeast and East central Plains (Zones 104
  and 126) and the Central and Northeast Highlands (Zones 123 and
  125) today from 10 AM until 9 PM, and Wednesday from 11 AM
  until 8 PM.

* 20 FOOT WINDS...For Tuesday, west and southwest 25 to 35 mph
  with gusts up to 55 mph, except around 65 mph in the  Northeast
  Highlands. For Wednesday, west and northwest 20 to 35 mph with
  gusts up to 50 mph, particularly in the central and northeast
  highlands.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...Minimum values between 5 and 12 percent
  today and between 7 and 13 percent Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
  Outdoor burning is not recommended.
