.DISCUSSION...

Dry conditions will be in place today through the daylight hours
Monday before a larger system moves in Monday night and Tuesday.
Abundant sunshine will help minimum RH values fall to between 25 to
35 percent. However, winds will be lighter today compared to
yesterday, with gusts between 15 to 25 mph. There may be a brief
period of very high GFDI values for Buchanan county in northeastern
Iowa, but the remainder of the area should have GFDI values in the
moderate or high categories. Well above average temperatures move in
today and Sunday, with highs in the 70s and lower 80s.

The Grassland Fire Danger Index -GFDI- does not account for
precipitation that occurs or any snow on the ground. Please
make appropriate adjustments.
