High pressure will remain over Lake okeechobee today keeping the steering flow in a south to southeast direction with speeds of 10 to 15 mph. There is a chance of showers and a few thunderstorms over the burn site late this afternoon. Primary impacts will be lighting strikes, small hail, and gusty winds. Relative humidity will fall down into the lower 40s this afternoon as temperatures warm up into the mid 90s. However, the heat index readings will get up into the lower to mid 100s this afternoon over the burn site. .REST OF TODAY...
