Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
1021 PM MDT Fri May 3 2024

.Discussion...

A cold front will continue to move through the southeast plains
this evening. Cooler conditions with scattered showers and
isolated thunderstorms are possible for mainly the mountains on
Saturday. Rain and snow showers will spread into the Continental
Divide Sunday night into Monday, while dry and windy conditions
overspread the remainder of southern CO through Wednesday.
Critical fire weather conditions will likely return for Monday
through Wednesday for the San Luis Valley and southern portions of
the southeast plains where fuels are critical. A cooler and
wetter pattern will be possible for late week into next weekend.

Dispersions will be fair to good for the plains on Saturday and
good or better across the mountains. Higher afternoon dispersions
can be expected for Sunday with excellent dispersions district
wide.

--- thunderstorms imply strong gusty and erratic winds ---
