BALTIMORE MD...BALTIMORE-WASHINGTON INTERNATIONAL THURGOOD
MARSHALL AIRPORT...

THE MONTHLY AVERAGE TEMPERATURE WAS BELOW NORMAL. IT WAS THE COLDEST
MARCH SINCE 2015, WHEN THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE WAS 39.7 DEGREES.

MONTHLY PRECIPITATION WAS ONLY 58 PERCENT OF NORMAL. IT WAS THE
DRIEST MARCH SINCE 2016, WHEN ONLY 2.10 INCHES OF PRECIPITATION FELL.

MONTHLY SNOWFALL WAS 353 PERCENT OF NORMAL. IT WAS THE SNOWIEST
MARCH SINCE 2015, WHEN 7.7 INCHES OF SNOW FELL.

NO DAILY RECORDS WERE SET DURING MARCH.

CLIMATE RECORDS FOR THE BALTIMORE MD AREA HAVE BEEN KEPT AT
BALTIMORE-WASHINGTON INTERNATIONAL THURGOOD MARSHALL AIRPORT SINCE
1950. ADDITIONAL TEMPERATURE RECORDS OBSERVED DOWNTOWN EXTEND BACK
TO JULY OF 1872. PRECIPITATION RECORDS EXTEND BACK TO JANUARY OF
1871. SNOWFALL RECORDS BEGAN IN MARCH OF 1892.
