Fire Weather Planning Forecast for NW Oregon and SW Washington

.BROADCAST DISCUSSION...A weak front will bring light rain to
the area late tonight and early Saturday morning, particularly
across our northern zones. High pressure and offshore flow
will bring warmer and drier weather to the area through at
least early next week.
.DISCUSSION...A front sliding by to our north will bring light
rain to the area late tonight and Saturday morning. Wetting
rains will be most likely across the west facing slopes of the
Coast Range and Cascades, particularly across our northern
zones. Building high pressure will bring increasing east winds,
warmer temperatures and lower relative humidities late Sunday
and Monday. Warm temperatures and dry weather look to continue
through at least the middle of next week. Models have been
hinting at an upper level low pressure drifting east-northeastward
towards the region late in the week, which would be a favorable
pattern for thunderstorms to develop over the Cascades and spread
northwestward into the Willamette Valley and coastal zones.
