Subject:  Change to river forecast services for Little Sioux River
          near Milford (MIFI4) and Little Sioux River above Spencer
          (LSSI4) gauges beginning on Monday, June 25, 2018

On Monday, June 25, 2018 NOAA`s National Weather Service (NWS)
Office in Sioux Falls SD will (1) begin providing river forecast and
warning services at a new location, and (2) cease river forecast and
warnings services for an existing location, both on the Little Sioux
River in northwest Iowa.

The new forecast point will be the Little Sioux River near Milford
IA (MIFI4) gauge. This gauge is located 3 miles west of Milford.
Flood stage for this location is 12.0 feet. Additional forecast
services of 90-day probabilistic outlooks will also begin for this
location. The AHPS website for this gauge is:

The discontinued forecast point will be the Little Sioux River above
Spencer IA (LSSI4) gauge, located 4 miles northwest of Spencer. The
gauging operations have been discontinued at this location and river
stages are no longer available.

Both changes have been coordinated with local, county, state, and
federal stakeholders.
