This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska...
northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...

A High Wind Warning is in effect for all of northeast Colorado and
generally west of Highway 25 in northwest Kansas and southwest
Nebraska for this afternoon and early evening. Southwest winds will
increase to 30 to 40 mph with gusts of up to 60 mph occurring behind
a warm front. Winds will shift to the northwest this evening behind
a cold front and continue to be gusty, diminishing by late in the
evening.

Blowing dust may develop in the High Wind Warning area this
afternoon. Visibility may be reduced to near zero at times. Hazardous
travel conditions may develop along Interstate 70 between Limon,
Colorado, and Colby, Kansas, due to the blowing dust.

Extreme fire weather conditions will occur this afternoon generally
in the same areas, with elevated conditions elsewhere. The combination
of strong winds and relative humidity less than 10 percent will result
in the potential for explosive fire growth. All outdoor burning should
be avoided and care taken to avoid causing any potential ignition
sources if outdoors.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY...

Elevated fire weather conditions are anticipated across the entire
area on Wednesday due to gusty northwest winds and relative humidity
as low as 20 percent.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be required.
