National Weather Service Goodland KS
108 AM MDT Tue Apr 30 2024

Over the past 24 hours, the Tri State region has seen daytime highs
top off in the 70s, with lows during this time dropping into the mid
30s to around 40F. Mainly dry conditions over the area during this
time, with just a few isolated sprinkles. As of 100 AM MDT,

OUTLOOK... Dry conditions today will give way to increased chances
for showers and thunderstorms, peaking Wednesday and Wednesday
night. Some storms could be strong to severe, especially east of
Highway 25. Chances for precipitation continue for Thursday
onward, but best expected coverage will occur midweek. Dry
conditions this afternoon could bring about elevated to near
critical fire weather conditions area-wide. The same could occur
on Thursday afternoon along/west of Highway 27, but will be highly
dependent on how much rain is received Wednesday and Wednesday
night.

Near to above normal temperatures expected today and Wednesday in
the 70s and 80s in spots, cooling down into the 60s and 70s from
Thursday into Saturday, then a return to above normal temperatures
