Fire Weather Planning Forecast For CEN/ERN VA...NE NC...MD ERN SHORE
National Weather Service WAKEFIELD VA
407 AM EDT Wed May 1 2024

.DISCUSSION...

A weak cold front moves through today, bringing scattered showers
and storms across portions of southeast Virginia and northeast
North Carolina this afternoon into this evening. Dry and warm
weather will prevail Thursday with afternoon min RH values 35-40%.
A backdoor drops across the region on Friday leading to slightly
higher afternoon min RH values (~40% inland, ~50-60% along the
coast) and an increasing onshore wind. Rain chances increase Saturday
with the next front.
