...River Statement For The Big Nance Creek at Courtland...

Runoff from rainfall is expected to cause river levels to rise
rapidly on the Big nance Creek at Courtland. Although it is not
expected to reach flood stage, some nuisance flooding of lowlands
may still occur. If additional rainfall occurs, the river could
still reach Flood Stage.

The Big Nance Creek at Courtland.
* At 9:30 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 12.1 feet.
* Action stage is 12.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 12.5 feet
  this evening.
* Impact...At 12.0 feet...The river overflows on County Road 150
  about three quarters of a mile upstream of the gage site...south
  of Courtland.


All persons with interests along the river should monitor the latest
forecasts, and be prepared to take necessary precautions to protect
life and property from rising river levels.Additional information is
available at www.weather.gov.
