Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior

For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior.

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...A 30.0 inch high pressure ridge building over the
Upper Great Lakes today will be displaced eastward later tonight
by a 29.7 inch low pressure system lifting northeast through the
Plains which will shift east across the Upper Great Lakes Monday
afternoon and evening. After a period of 29.9 inch ridging late
Monday night into Tuesday morning over Lake Superior, another
29.5 inch low pressure developing over the Plains will deepen to
29.2 inches as it tracks over western and north central Lake
Superior late Tuesday night into Wednesday before weakening to
29.4 inches as it shifts northeast over James Bay on Thursday.
