.DISCUSSION...

Today will be a bit cooler than yesterday, with continued gusty
winds from the west-southwest. A few light showers may linger in
the area for another hour or two this morning, with the afternoon
being largely dry. Later today, between about 4-6pm, some isolated
showers and thunderstorms may form over the higher terrain and
slowly push eastwards through the rest of the day (about a 10-15%
chance). This could result in a dusting of snow over the top of
Pikes Peak, but more likely the rest of the slopes could see
briefly lived rain showers and a few rumbles of thunder. Winds in
the proximity of these showers could become gusty and slightly
erratic in direction. Precipitation in the immediate area should
end prior to midnight.

For tomorrow, temperatures will be noticeably warmer, with
stronger west-southwest winds picking up after sunrise and lasting
most of the day. Isolated showers and storms will be possible
over and near the Palmer Divide after midday, but should quickly
move east by evening. A cold front will be coming in around or
just prior to 6pm on Friday, which will quickly turn winds
northerly.
