  Osage River at Taberville affecting Vernon and St. Clair Counties.

Kansas...

  Marmaton River at Fort Scott affecting Bourbon County.

For the Little Osage River...including Fulton, Horton...Major
flooding is forecast.
For the Marmaton River...including Fort Scott, Nevada...Moderate
flooding is forecast.
For the Osage River...including Taberville...Moderate flooding is
forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Many flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
  forecast.

* WHERE...Marmaton River near Nevada.

* WHEN...Until early Saturday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 31.0 feet, major flooding occurs at the gage site.
  Flood waters backs up along the White Creek which affects Logan
  Road north of downtown Nevada.


* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 7:45 PM CDT Monday the stage was 28.7 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 20.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 7:45 PM CDT Monday was 28.7 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 30.0
    feet early tomorrow afternoon. It will then fall below flood
    stage early Friday afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    29.9 feet on 03/26/1978.

* WHAT...Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Little Osage River near Horton.

* WHEN...Until Friday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 50.0 feet, major flooding occurs at the gage site.
  Flood waters are within two feet of the Old U.S. Highway 71 bridge
  south of Horton. Some homes near the Little Osage River flood due
  to backwater effects from tributaries of the Little Osage River
  along Interstate 49.  In addition, low areas along the Little
  Osage River near Metz and Stotesbury, or on Route V and Route WW
  are impassable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 7:45 PM CDT Monday the stage was 50.8 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 41.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 7:45 PM CDT Monday was 52.9 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    Thursday afternoon and continue falling to 30.1 feet Saturday
    evening.
  - Flood stage is 41.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    50.0 feet on 02/25/1985.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring.

* WHERE...Little Osage River at Fulton.

* WHEN...Until late tomorrow evening.

* IMPACTS...At 25.0 feet, Farmland at the gage site becomes covered
  by flood waters, and Highway 31, east of town becomes flooded.
  Highway 31, four miles west of Fulton has flood waters four to six
  feet in depth.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:15 PM CDT Monday the stage was 23.8 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 22.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 8:15 PM CDT Monday was 31.3 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    late this evening and continue falling to 3.3 feet Saturday
    evening.
  - Flood stage is 22.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    23.9 feet on 07/08/2015.

* IMPACTS...At 34.0 feet, Moderate Flood Stage. B Highway 2.5 miles
  east of Rich Hill in the vicinity of the Bates County Drainage
  Ditch is under several feet of water.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 7:45 PM CDT Monday the stage was 28.6 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 23.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 7:45 PM CDT Monday was 28.6 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 34.7
    feet Wednesday evening.
  - Flood stage is 23.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    36.1 feet on 05/04/2017.
